Processes
Processes, also called tasks, are actions that take time to complete. Task duration depends on the action and the hardware or software involved.
The Task Manager shows active processes, running software, and RAM usage.
Download and Upload
Transfer duration depends on:
- File size
- Source connection speed
- Destination connection speed
- How much connection speed is already being used
The slower side of the transfer limits the speed.
Delete, Install, Kill, Hide, and Seek
These actions usually depend on:
- File size
- CPU power
Actions on your own server are faster than remote actions.
Seeking hidden software also depends on the hidden version.
Brute-Force
Brute-force duration depends on:
- Attacker CPU
- Attacker Cracker version
- Target Password Hashing version
Bank account cracking follows similar logic.
Port Scan and Exploit
Port scanning and exploit tasks use fixed base timers, but access after completion depends on exploit and firewall versions.
Research
Research duration depends mainly on software version and the number of research cycles selected. Bulk research can perform multiple cycles in one order and costs more than individual research.
Format Hard Drive
Format HDD is a destructive action that removes files from the selected hard drive and disconnects users from that server. Clan hard-drive formatting is limited to the clan Master.
Reset IP
Personal IP reset is handled through the ISP. Clan server IP reset is handled through clan settings and takes longer.
Resetting an IP disconnects active connections involving that server.
DDoS
DDoS processes use DDoS viruses, DDoS Breaker, and available server power. See DDoS.
Doom
Doom is storyline content. Its behavior may vary by round settings. See Storyline.
